Johnny Juke Privacy Policy

Johnny Juke ("the app", "the service") lets patrons at a participating venue request and vote on songs played over the venue's sound system. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled.

Information you provide

When you register at a venue through the app, we collect:

• Full name
• Display handle (shown next to song requests)
• Mobile number
• Email address
• Hometown

This information is scoped to the specific venue you register at — it is not shared with other venues using Johnny Juke, and each venue only sees its own patrons.

Marketing communications

During registration you can separately opt in to receive SMS text messages and/or email from the venue about promotions or events. Each option is unchecked by default and only used if you actively opt in. You can ask the venue to stop these communications at any time.

Song requests and activity data

We store the songs you request, any comment text you include, your upvotes, and your request-credit balance, so the venue's live queue can function and so venue staff can see request history.

Device data

The app requests camera access solely to scan a venue's QR code to join a session. Camera images are processed on-device (via Google's ML Kit barcode-scanning library) to read the code and are never stored or transmitted by Johnny Juke. The app also uses your device's internet connection to communicate with our server; we do not collect location, contacts, or other device data, and the app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.

How your data is stored and protected

Patron data is stored on Johnny Juke's servers, scoped per venue, and is accessible only to that venue's authenticated staff and to Johnny Juke for operating the service. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as you're an active patron of a venue. To request deletion or correction of your data, contact the venue you registered with, or reach us directly using the contact details below.

Children's privacy

Johnny Juke is intended for use by patrons of venues serving general adult audiences and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above.
